Prayers for Charlotte

After every shooting, I’m so tempted to just keep scrolling. It’s becoming too commonplace. Reports of school shootings are becoming regular ol’ news. If you’re like me, it’s easy to think, “Again? Oh, that’s so sad” - and then just move on. But the people who were killed were somebody’s whole world. They were the apples of someone’s eye, the center of someone’s entire universe. So yet again, I will slow down and stop scrolling. I will say a prayer - for the injured, for families who are mourning, for Charlotte folks who are recovering from fear, for the traumatized, for the responders... and for this world we live in. For a country where this happens too damn often and nothing seems likely to change. God, hear our prayers...
